Erik had a passion for the market since 7th grade. After studying current events and specifically the stock market in social studies class, he knew that's where he wanted to focus his attention in the future. With a few dollars in his pocket from landscaping jobs and the direction of his Grandfather Joe, he was on his way and made his first investment into a mutual fund. Fast forward 30 years later he still has the same passion about the stock and bond markets.
Erik is a Founding Partner and Managing Director at Steward Partners, an employee-owned, full-service partnership, catering to families, institutions and family offices. He has over 30 years of experience providing clients with wealth management, financial and retirement planning. Erik's goal from day one has been to provide clients with advice, direction, and the confidence with a well-structured investment strategy to help clients achieve their financial goals. It is very common for Erik to collaborate with a client's estate attorney and tax advisor in order to bring together a cohesive and holistic plan, to best meet their objectives and goals.
Erik received his BS in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1990. He also holds the Series 7, 31, 63 and 65 licenses. Before joining Steward Partners, Erik worked at Prudential Securities from 1992 to 1999 then Smith Barney from 1999 to 2009. In 2009 Morgan Stanley acquired Smith Barney where Erik stayed until 2014. In June of 2014, he and his colleagues founded the NYC office of Steward Partners.
